Let me start with the positives: (1) Bonnie Ridge Apartments is in a nice family friendly and relatively quiet neighborhood (2) Floor plans are nice and comfortable (3) Plenty of outdoor parking available (4) Nice exercise track and dog park is on the threshold. Reasons I'm giving it 1 star: (1) The property is infested with rodents and the apartments are old. So you will definitely find rats or their droppings in your apartment from time to time (2) MaintenanceThe office is terribly slow and just doesn't care about your comfort. Waiting for moths to fix a refrigerator at 50-60 degrees or waiting 2 weeks for a sink to unclog are common occurrences (3) Property management is incompetent for even the smallest tasks such as waste management or keeping the property clean (4) The gym has no air conditioning, broken equipment and dead rats and insects (5) Despite the required pet fee, garbage bags are rarely provided and the dog is in poor condition (6) The entire property has only 1 entrance (even though there are hundreds of units) which is a serious security hazard in case of emergency. I hope this review helps you make an informed decision about living at Bonnie Ridge Apartments

DO NOT GO HERE!
11.10.22
I give 0 stars. They don't even get from me because I feel like I'm here now, but I had to start posting. I was very excited to live knowing my business and thought it was a great neighborhood and community to commute from downtown, but now I just wish I had stayed. I was told that the apartment for which I signed the lease would be exactly as I saw in the pictures of the newly renovated apartment, that was a lie. The entire solution could not be restored. & I hadproblems to this day with everything in the apartment. It started with trash, people just threw their crap in my box and that attracted the bugs. The dishwasher and sink were clogged and blocked for a week because maintenance took time because I was only there for a week! The light in my kitchen fell off and started hanging on a nail! My bathroom is dirty, especially around the toilet, so disgusting, my terrace and windows are smashed and torn. They say there are no mistakes, but there are many! The carpet was not properly reinstalled or replaced. I vacuumed the carpet and it was so dusty it just collected dirt. Now I have a bad furnace because the firemen told me that since I smelled something toxic in the apartment and I couldn't even breathe properly, I found out that my filter had not been replaced in 2-3 years and the furnace had not been replaced. It doesn't even work and I shouldn't turn it on because of the unhealthy air in the house that makes me sick and I had a respiratory infection. It's been really hard to sleep the last two nights let alone NO HEATING because the furnace doesn't even work and the filter so now I'm freezing for 2 weeks without heat but I want to pay the rent for utilities and bge this is crazy! And I have NEVER experienced such problems with the band in all my years of renting. The only cluster requires new management and a whole new makeover!

Consider another place
14.06.22
New resident here and very disappointed. I wish I had chosen another location - I heard that Ivy Mount in Mount Washington is a better choice. I asked to be shown around a particular apartment I had applied for but was told it was not ready or available to view. They showed me another apartment and assured me that my apartment would be the same. It's not. Not only was my original move in date pushed back two days after the rental date with less than 24 hours notice, but the rental office tried to move oncharging me full pro rata rent. They avoided my emails and phone calls to get a custom prorated rent. When I finally moved into the apartment, it was by no means ready. No AC for 5 weeks, toilet dirty and rusty, front door wouldn't close and still won't close fully, two of the three locks on the front door were completely broken and light bulbs were melted and missing. Maintenance was helpful in getting everything ready, but all work could and should have been completed before I moved. It's clear that the rental office is only interested in people signing a lease - with very little regard for the new resident and their comfort, the least priority being meeting Bonnie Ridge's housing standards. I called and emailed the property manager and the rental staff several times but all I got were empty apologies but nothing to make up for the inconvenience, gross unpreparedness and manipulative dishonesty.

Rodents and trash everywhere! You would think that for the prices we pay, these problems wouldn't exist. I have visited my home 7 times for maintenance/pest since the new year!
