## What is in the ALEKS math placement test?

Mathematics in the ALEKS placement test includes Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. However, because the difficulty level of each question is determined by students' answers to previous questions, some students never get to algebra. 2. Test Questions

I'm a returning college student and haven't taken a math class in almost 5 years. I felt like I needed a place to build my base, so I turned to MathHelp. I started with the first ALEKS class in MathHelp, watched all the videos and did all the tests until I managed to pass 100% through to exponential and logarithmic equations, which was class 179. Overall, I'm very happy with my time at MathHelp. Topics that I remember as difficult, like logarithms, were actually very easy to understand thanks to the short video format of the lessons. I recently took the ALEKS placement test and did well enough to be included in the pre-calculation. I'm impressed that I managed to get this right, barely remembering the basics of algebra and almost getting into calculus.

I tried to put it into calculus myself and I got it. I have 85 on ALEKS. I was a very bad student in high school, just to give you an overview. I'm trying to catch up on things that I should have had a basic baseline for back then. So it was really nice to have a refresher course on all the mathematical and algebraic rules and properties before the calculus parts. Overall I think the material has been integrated into your website very well. Clear and concise.

I went from 12 to 68 on the ALEKS exam, which put me in Pre-Calculus at my university. The course was very effective. The reviews at the end of each issue were great.

This site was a great help to me as I needed to prepare for ALEKS right away. From check-in to content and explanations of issues, everything was an excellent experience. The people who put this together knew what they were doing and successfully worked to create a great product (not the result of a multiplication type product, look, I even make math jokes haha) that I used on a daily basis. I hope others will find it as useful as I have and God bless those who created this program.

Your teaching was phenomenal and I would be remiss if I didn't give you proper feedback. First, let me say that I've been procrastinating (and dreading) the ALEKS math test for about 2 years now. Math wasn't always my favorite subject, but the closer I get to graduating, the more I can't help myself. I knew I might need to take additional courses before I could take the courses required for my degree and this would have delayed my graduation time depending on how well I did in those courses first. With that said, I came across the Mathhelp website, saw that there were great reviews, and decided to give it a try. As I progressed through the class, some concepts I didn't understand in high school kinda made a lot of sense this time. around. I found that his classes were particularly the ones I could understand best. I think it's his teaching style. You explained things in a 'relaxed and informal' manner, which made the class more enjoyable and personalized. The other 2 teachers were great too. 🙂 I had high hopes that these lessons would miraculously help me test the prerequisites I would need. Although ALEKS gives you 3 attempts to take the test, you wouldn't want to take it again unless you have to. Anyway, I finally took the plunge (attempted ALEKS Assessment #1) and tested the prerequisite courses. !!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not exaggerating when I say I almost cried when I saw my results. The classes were everything one could hope for and more. Thanks very much!

I prepared for the ALEKS test and drove very well with the help of this program. I was put in the class I had to put myself in. I think the most useful thing they gave me was that with the quizzes at the end of each question I could see what the math should look like if I was wrong. Going back to math, which I blocked in high school, was really helpful for me.

First I want to thank you for the MathHelp classes. They're well done, in a logical order, and I appreciate that they're short, explain the concept with an example (or more), and that there are practice assignments and quizzes and tests that write the work and explain a way find out where and where, why I did a problem wrong and say what I did right. It was the best overview of math concepts I found when I was looking for help preparing for the ALEKS math placement test at the local community college I enrolled in. It's been 25 years since I graduated from graduate school (in the social sciences field) and as I'm going back to school to study nursing, a more difficult area of math and science, I've had to review the concepts that I could prove. from a few decades ago. I also liked that I could watch the video twice as fast if I wanted to quickly review it :) The word/story task examples helped a lot too! I came across some of them while taking the ALEKS exam and because I practiced them (their format) they were much easier for me. Finally, the links to related topics in each lesson made all the difference. I've checked some of the links to related lessons along the way just to make sure I understand things as fully as I feel, and these lessons have augmented my knowledge and given me the confidence to move on to the next section. As for ALEKS, I got more than I needed to get into the math class I needed to meet my requirements for the nursing program. I recommend MathHelp!

The ALEKS courses were really helpful. His explanations were clear and well presented. I've been away from math for almost 30 years and, to be honest, I struggled when I was learning. Today I scored 84 on my ALEKS placement test, which qualifies me for an honors placement in math at my school. I would say they are doing something right! If I were to highlight one particularly useful part, I would pick logarithms. This is an area that has always intrigued me, but your explanation turned that weakness into a strength. Just awesome.

My test was great! I felt very well prepared for the ALEKS placement test. I enjoyed the assignments and practice tests and felt I had a good grasp of the concepts that were being presented to me.

I haven't done "school" math in almost 25 years. I needed to update my knowledge to achieve some personal retirement goals. At some point learning something new that you already knew was/is stressful. These courses were perfect for me! Small, with the necessary information and presented at a pace I could keep up with. I can't speak highly enough of the solid foundation this has given me. I tried to learn from some books but it wasn't for me. Seeing math being solved while someone is explaining is superior. I worked on these videos daily for a month and got a 76 for ALEKS! Thank you everyone for the help!

My ALEKS test went really well! After 7+ years of no math after using MathHelp classes I introduced calculus which was a course above what I needed! I really loved the program and its structure. The videos are short and to the point, and the practice questions let you make mistakes before you take the test. Thank you for creating this page and offering it at an affordable price!

I managed to score 81 on my ALEKS test, which was more than satisfactory for the rating I needed. I really liked the clear explanations in the videos! All of the presenters did an excellent job of explaining the material and the fact that you were able to speed through the videos and still understand what they were saying was a game changer. Overall I was very happy with the quality of the site, it reminded me of the way my favorite math teacher taught. What an amazing resource!

My ALEKS exam went really well, way better than it took me to get into a class. I found the classes at mathhelp.com to be excellent. Just enough information was provided to easily answer the questions. If I need additional help I will try to enroll in another math help class to increase my chances of success.

I'm a 40 year old male returning to college online at Penn State for a degree in Business Administration. I haven't taken a math class in 20 years, and when I found out I had to take the Aleks test, I looked online for tutorials. Of the many tutorials I tried before purchasing, mathhelp.com was the best for providing short, to-the-point lessons. Thanks to these lessons I finally understand algebra. I took Aleks' test this week and the grades were good enough to get me into Algebra II. After Algebra II, my only other math class will be Calculus. That was my goal and I achieved it. I plan to use mathhelp.com again when I start Algebra II this spring semester and also when I take Calculus. Thanks to this tutorial, I'm no longer afraid of math!

**How does the ALEKS program work?**

ALEKS quickly assesses students' knowledge in a course with only 20-30 questions in most cases. In other words, each question is based on the student's answers to all previous questions.
